The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Fans can expect discovering which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
